Hey friends,
I know there’s been an acute lack of writing from me recently. I like to imagine there are some of you eagerly awaiting the next piece, and another part likes to imagine that no one actually cares and uses that to permission me not writing.
Lately, my energy has been wanting to flow to building. To creating things, building things, doing things. I have an immense passion for this work, and I notice there’s a resonance that emerges in me when I give myself fully to it. And for me, sadly, writing isn’t the work. It’s talking about the work. It’s sharing the work. But it isn’t the work itself. And I notice that in every fiber of my being recently I’m wanting to be doing the work.
And so, I write to you today not for the sake of writing, but for the sake of doing the work. I’ve got two upcoming opportunities I’m very excited about…
If you’re in the NYC Metro area — I’ve started to run a monthly Conscious Leadership Circle with my friend and fellow coach Elisa Haggarty. It has been fun, electric, loving, and intense. Our next event is on Tuesday, April 22nd at Fabrik NYC, and it’s almost entirely booked up! It’s open and free. Consider coming if you are a founder, leader, or entrepreneur who wants to be radically supported, seen, and lovingly challenged.
For anyone and everyone… I’m running a virtual workshop called Conscious Anger: Turning Frustration into Insight on Wednesday, April 30th from 6pm-7:30pm EST with my friend and fellow coach Zezan Tam. This workshop is near and dear to my heart. The more I open up to my emotions, the more I view anger as profoundly loving and wise. But most of us never have a chance to see anger stripped of the energy of control, criticism, or blame. I hadn’t until recently! Even more so, once you’ve seen the potential, there’s remarkably few places to safely play with and practice clean anger. So Zezan and I built a place.
If you want to explore your relationship with anger and see what it’s like to love your anger and tap into it’s wisdom, come join us.
That’s all for now. Here’s to the work.
