I’m thrilled to announce a project I’ve been working on for several months: Mastering the Inner Game of Leadership.
Mastering the Inner Game of Leadership is a a three-week intensive group coaching program, designed to help you unlock your leadership potential.
Which Game of Leadership Are You Playing?
Effective leadership comes down to playing two games.
Mediocre leaders focus on the outer game of leadership. It’s how you interact with your team, how you communicate, it’s OKRs and KPIs, and all of the easy-to-observe aspects of leadership. If you only play this game, you’ll spend more time micro-managing your team than leading them.
Everyone focuses on optimizing the outer game. But leaders who unlock their true potential, and the potential of their teams, focus on the other game of leadership: the inner game.
The inner game of leadership is about becoming the leader you know you can be. It's about overcoming limiting beliefs and fears holding you back as a leader, leveraging your unique strengths to help your team be more effective, and being more intentional with how you interact with your team. Leaders who focus on the inner game learn to empower their team to greatness instead of micro-managing them to death.
Because before you can lead your team to greatness, you have to learn to lead yourself.

2022 Annual Leadership Review
To promote the Inner Game of Leadership, we’ll be running two annual leadership review sessions for 2022:
The first is in-person on Tuesday, December 6th at the A.team office in NYC (thanks A.team!). This is capped at 20 people and will run from 6:30-8:30pm ET.
The second is virtual session on Tuesday, December 13th December. This session has no cap and will run from 6:30-8:30pm ET.
Why Review?
As we get further into our careers as leaders, it becomes rarer and rarer that we create the time to pause and reflect.
As the demands on us grow, we feel scarce about our time and energy. More and more of it gets dedicated to doing, and less and less to reflecting on if that doing is as effective as it can be.
It is at this moment that taking time to stop and reflect is most valuable.
In this short 2 hour session, you'll walk away with:
Clarity on your most important growth edges and goals for 2023
An understanding of how to easefully begin working on those growth edges
An understanding of how to get complete on this year so that you can be 100% focused on your priorities at the very beginning of 2023
Who is this for?
This is an annual leadership review. It is best suited for leaders who are managing 2 or more (ideally 4) employees.
